LPD: Two arrests made, one still at large in VP robbery


LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) – Police have made two arrests in connection to the armed robbery at Village Pantry that occurred Tuesday night in Lafayette.

The Lafayette Police Department told News 18, 19-year-old Tiffany Mounts and 26-year-old Miguel Garcia were arrested for the armed robbery at the Village Pantry on Union Street. Officers said the two suspects were taken into custody shortly after the incident.

LPD said the suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash, alcohol, sandwiches and cigarettes.

In addition to the current robbery, Garcia was also arrested for the armed robbery at the Speedway Gas Station on Elmwood Avenue in Lafayette that took place on Nov. 1.

Police are still searching for the third person involved. They said Jacob R. Lumbley is a person of interest and wanted for questioning in the case.
