AC Milan plotting ways to end Fernando Torres’ catastrophic loan spell from Chelsea

AC Milan are desperate to get rid of Fernando Torres and are actively looking at ways they can end his catastrophically unsuccessful loan spell at the San Siro.

Torres joined the Italian side on a two-year loan in the summer, but after scoring on his full debut the Spaniard has endured another barren spell in front of goal.

The 30-year-old’s lack of form has seen him only complete 90 minutes once in Serie A, and according to the Telegraph Milan boss Filippo Inzaghi has met with club chiefs to discuss the former-Liverpool man’s future.

With Chelsea adamant that they will not take Torres back to Stamford Bridge, the most likely destination for him appears to be his old club Atletico Madrid, with a swap deal involving Atletico’s Italian forward Alessio Cerci being touted.
